Mobile wallet

Mobile wallet service is offered by two leading telecommunication giants Dialog – EZ Cash and Mobitel Mcash. Dialog’s EZ Cash is widely accepted compared to Mobitel’s Mcash. However compared to other payment methods such as FriMi, credit and debit cards mobile wallet payment usage is relatively very low.

Unlike Mobitel’s Mcash EZ cash has partnered up with Hutch acquired Etisalat.

Mobile wallet allows people to pay for items and access banking services using their mobile by maintaining money in a mobile account. You don’t need a bank account for this system, it acts as a bank account itself, allowing you to withdraw money, pay for goods and pay utility bills. It is available to both prepaid and postpaid customers.

One could reload the mobile phone through a bank, supermarket, transferring money online or by a mobile reload.
